Marketing and Testimonials Disclosure

    Effective September 29, 2026

    This disclosure explains how Devence Lab, Inc. ("Devence Lab", "we", "our", or "us") presents customer names, logos, testimonials, results, and any paid or incentivised endorsement.

    It reflects the US Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) and the Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), and the prohibition on misleading commercial practices in the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/2161.

    1. Our standing commitments

    Every testimonial is real. We do not write, commission, fabricate, or buy testimonials or reviews. We do not use AI to generate a testimonial, a reviewer, or a likeness. We do not suppress a negative review to make an average look better.

    Every endorser is real and consenting. We publish a person's name, role, employer, image, or words only with their permission and their employer's where required.

    Every logo is authorised. We display a customer, partner, or investor logo only where that organisation has agreed in writing that we may. A logo indicates a relationship of the kind stated beside it — nothing more. We do not display a logo to imply a customer relationship where the relationship was an evaluation, a pilot, a conversation, or an employee's former employer.

    Every material connection is disclosed, clearly and in the same place as the claim — not in a footnote, not behind a hover, not in a separate document.

    2. Testimonials and reviews

    Where we publish a testimonial:

    • the words are the endorser's own, quoted accurately;
    • editing is limited to length and obvious errors, and never changes the meaning;
    • we state the endorser's name and role, or, where they have asked not to be named, describe their position precisely enough for you to weigh it;
    • we disclose any payment, discount, free or extended access, equity, or other consideration given in exchange; and
    • we withdraw the testimonial promptly if the endorser asks, or if we learn it no longer reflects their honest view.

    We do not offer compensation conditioned on the sentiment of a review, ask for a review only from people likely to give a positive one, or publish a testimonial from a person who has not used what they are describing.

    3. Results and performance claims

    Where a testimonial or case study mentions a result — a detection rate, a time saved, a cost avoided, a risk reduced — we state the conditions that produced it: the system, the configuration, the period, and the scope.

    Results described are those of the specific customer in the specific environment stated. They are not typical, not guaranteed, and not a prediction of what you would obtain. Where we can, we say what the generally expected result is. Where we cannot, we say so rather than implying the example is representative.

    Our Research and AI Disclaimer governs quantitative figures in our published research, which are measurements taken under stated conditions at a stated date.

    We do not currently:

    • pay for endorsements, reviews, or social media posts about us;
    • run an affiliate or referral programme, or earn commission on any link we publish;
    • accept payment, free product, or other consideration in exchange for editorial coverage; or
    • publish sponsored content, advertorial, or guest posts.

    Should any of this change, we will disclose it here and, more importantly, in the content itself — clearly, prominently, and adjacent to the claim, so that no reasonable reader could miss it. Our Editorial Policy prohibits any third party from paying for, reviewing, or approving our published research.

    5. Our own employees and affiliates

    Where an employee, contractor, founder, investor, or adviser of Devence Lab endorses us in public — on social media, at a conference, in a podcast, or in a comment — we require them to disclose that connection clearly, in the endorsement itself.

    Where we quote our own people in marketing material, we identify them by name and role, so that their connection to us is evident on the face of it.

    6. Comparisons with other products

    Where we compare our work or products with a third party's:

    • we identify the version, configuration, and date of what we tested;
    • we describe the methodology sufficiently for it to be challenged;
    • we do not select conditions designed to disadvantage the comparator; and
    • we correct a comparison shown to be inaccurate, under the correction process in our Editorial Policy.

    Third-party names and marks are used for identification and commentary only and remain the property of their owners. Such use does not imply endorsement or affiliation in either direction.

    7. Forward-looking statements

    Statements about planned features, research directions, or expected outcomes reflect our view at the time and are not commitments. Nothing in our marketing is an offer or a guarantee of any feature, capability, or timeline. See Section 7 of our Research and AI Disclaimer.

    8. Email and direct marketing

    We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. Every marketing email identifies us, states why you are receiving it, and carries a working one-click unsubscribe. We action unsubscribe requests immediately and in any event within 72 hours.

    We do not purchase contact lists, and we do not send marketing email to an address harvested from the web.

    Transactional messages — a reply to your enquiry, an acknowledgement of an application — are not marketing and are sent on the basis described in Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

    9. Reporting a problem

    If you believe a claim, testimonial, logo, or disclosure on our site is inaccurate, unauthorised, or misleading, tell us at legal@devencelab.com. We investigate every such report and correct or withdraw promptly where the report is well founded.

    If you are an endorser and wish to withdraw your testimonial, or an organisation and wish your logo removed, write to the same address. We will act on the request; we will not ask you to justify it.
